Thank you to Mom for the sieve to make the blueberry concentrate.
Thank you to Nan for the organic confectioner sugar.
And, thank you for neighbors who sell their u-pick blueberries for $1 a pound!
Russell loves blueberries, and should love this blueberry frosting :)
The sweet tooth should be satisfied!

Lucky Russ! Yum! What kind of cake did you make? I remember that sieve and pestle!! What a fun memory! That sieve moved with Mom from home to home for a lot of years. I made a lot of applesauce in it! I have to admit I don't miss those hot canning days. I so enjoy all the fresh fruit now. Love the picture of Loo on the side. What a cutie!
ReplyDeleteI made a yellow cake . . . I think it came from allrecipes.com.
ReplyDeleteI so remember all the applesauce I made when the boys were little - I love seeing my canned jars on the shelf. Spicy sweet relish is next :)
Russ loves the cake - I'm not a big cake person, but it turned out good :)
